Our NATIONALKLINIK is the Bürgerspital Wertheim, a hospital included in the German state hospital plan, with inpatient admission and anaesthesia and intensive care around the clock. This is also where we operate on patients whose German statutory health insurance covers lipoedema surgery.

Are there differences between the locations?
Mainly in how treatment is paid for: in Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Waalre, lipoedema surgery is paid for by the patient (self-pay). If German statutory health insurance covers your costs (for patients insured in Germany), we operate at the NATIONALKLINIK Wertheim, our only location with a full hospital service – preparation and aftercare stay at the location near you. In Nuremberg we offer consultations.
Can I also be treated at a different location?
Yes – after the initial diagnosis, parts of your treatment can also take place at other locations. Just ask us and we will find the best solution for you together.
Are travel costs reimbursed?
If German statutory health insurance covers your treatment, travel costs may also be reimbursed under certain conditions. We are happy to advise you on this in a personal consultation.
Which location is suitable for complex cases?
If you would like to be treated in a hospital – with inpatient admission and anaesthesia and intensive care around the clock – our NATIONALKLINIK in Wertheim is the right place. It is also where we operate when German statutory health insurance covers the costs.
